NEW FOR 2024-25! Band Camp Spirit Days

Band Camp Spirit Days are optional, but highly encouraged! This is a fun way to bring some levity to our long days of working hard on our field show.

Students must follow school rules and be school appropriate in their spirit wear. Any student whose spirit wear is considered inappropriate will be required to go home and change their clothes before returning to camp.

Thursday, 8/1 SPORTS JERSEY/COLLEGE DAY

● Represent your favorite team by wearing a sports jersey or tshirt!

Friday, 8/2 SILLY SOCKS DAY

● Wear your favorite silly socks!

Monday, 8/5 BEACH DAY

● Wear your best beach gear!

Tuesday, 8/6 HCPS SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY

● Wear school colors from another Henrico school!

• Flutes - Godwin (Red/Black)

• Clarinets - Deep Run (Blue/White)

• Saxes - JR Tucker (Orange/Royal Blue)

• High Brass - Varina (Navy Blue/Gold)

• Low Brass - Highland Springs (Black/Yellow)

• Drum Line - Freeman (Navy Blue/White)

• Pit - Glen Allen (Teal/White)

• Color Guard - Henrico (Green/Gold)

• Staff - Hermitage! (Red/Blue)

Wednesday, 8/7 WHITE LIE DAY

● Write a “white lie” on a white tshirt!

• Ex: Mrs. Steele’s shirt would say “I hate Taylor Swift”

• KEEP IT SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!

Thursday, 8/8 DRESS LIKE THE DIRECTOR DAY

● Dress like Mrs. Steele! (No chacos/tevas/sandals on the field though!)

Friday, 8/9 SECTION COLOR DAY

● Dress in your assigned color from head to toe!

• Flute - Blue

• Clarinet - Green

• Saxes - Orange

• High Brass - Purple (Go Dukes)

• Low Brass - Yellow

•  Percussion - Red

• Color Guard - Pink

Concessions Volunteers Needed!

The Band and the Fine Arts Department will be jointly overseeing the Concessions stand for the Athletic Department this year. It is vital that we have band parents / alumni / supporters fill the open spots during home sporting events. As you know, we have no one particular source of income for the group, so we truly need to take advatange of this opportunity. PLEASE sign up for at least one slot, if not more. Our resources will be split for equipment and chaperone needs as well--so make sure to ask any friends and family to help support our amazing students. Thanks for considering!  Working concessions is a fun way to help out!
